Harley Weir printed her images onto large pieces of fabric, they flowed in the soft wind. This echoed how the refugees could have travelled to France, by boat, waves pushing their fear along, personified by them. They must have felt the dread of possible death, drowning, as they travelled but they also anticipated this as they chose to leave their homes to build a new one in France, this may be down to warfare or poverty, moving countries in the hope of a new life. She also displayed her images in an old church so that the pillars framed her work beautifully but also isolating them from each other. The light that came through the windows flowed through the images, making the objects behind them part of the photo.
