I decided to make this Brighton video, acknowledging my experience there, as a response to the theme 'A new Europe'. To do this I took as many videos as I could whilst there, this video wasn't intended to be perfectly steady and pristine because I noticed, whilst in Brighton, that many of the photographers being exhibited had work on display influenced by the refugee crisis, for instance Lewis Baltz, Teresa cervenova, Emeric Lhuisset and Harley Weir. A common theme in these responses was the sea and waves, echoed through their work. I took this into consideration when taking my videos, spinning around spaces holding my camera to create a revolving video, I also incorporated videos from the minibus as they are quite bumpy and somewhat echoes waves as the minibus bounces up and down on bumpy roads.
