ISO: Allows you to brighten your photos if you can't use a longer shutter speed or wider aperture. Measured in numbers, a lower number representing a darker image, while a higher number means a brighter image. However, as your ISO rises so does the visibility of graininess in your images.
Aperture: Essentially, how big the hole is that allows the light to enter. The larger the hole, the more light passes to the cameras sensor.
